Back Pain

This very common condition of pregnancy can be roughly divided into two phases:
- Back pain in the first trimester is easily treatable, as a common mechanical problem, by gentle manipulation of the spine or by acupuncture
-Back pain in the later pregency is caused by the baby's growth as it presses on the epidural area, and is more difficult to treat. The best and simplest solution is to rest with the legs slightly elevated, on a systematic basis.

Actaea racemosa

- Vegetable origin: the black cohosh or cimicifuga plant
-The homeopathic remedy for pain in the upper back or trapezius area
-A characteristic sign: alternating states of depression and agitation

Bryonia alba

- Vegetable origin: the white bryony plant
- The homeopathic remedy for pain brought on by the slightest movement - A characteristic indication: the pain is improved by rest

- Four 5c tablets of one or both of these remedies to be sucked slowly once or twice a day when the pain comes on.
